What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. It lets the site recognise the same browser between requests — which is how a login survives moving from one page to the next.

Cookies we set

• Session cookie. Set when a member of staff signs in to the administration area, and read on every request after that to keep them signed in. Without it the CRM cannot work. It is removed when the session expires or the person signs out.
• Session cache cookie. A short-lived signed copy of the same session, so the site does not have to query the database on every page load. It expires within a minute and holds no more than the session cookie already does.

Both are strictly necessary cookies: they exist to make the service function, not to profile you.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you between sites. Nothing we set is used to build a profile of your interests or shared with advertisers.

Cookies set by others

Pages may embed content served by other providers, such as images from our media host. Those providers can set their own cookies when your browser fetches their content, and their policies govern those cookies rather than this one.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you view and delete stored cookies and refuse new ones, usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you browsing the public directory. It does prevent signing in to the administration area, because the session cannot be kept.

Changes

If the cookies we set change, this page changes with them, and the date shown at the top of the page tells you when it was last revised.
