Sending a notice

Email support@veloria.example with the subject line Copyright notice, and include all of the following:

1. Enough detail to identify the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
2. The exact URL or URLs on this site where the material appears, so we can find it without guessing.
3. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

A notice missing these elements may not be actionable, and we may come back to you for the rest before we can proceed.

What we do

We review every notice we receive. Where a notice is valid we remove or disable access to the material, usually within a few business days, and notify whoever supplied it. We keep a record of notices and of what we did about them.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to support@veloria.example containing:

1. Identification of the material and the URL where it appeared before removal.
2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
3. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live, or where we operate if you are outside those countries, and that you will accept service of process from the party who sent the original notice.
5. Your physical or electronic signature.

We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. We may restore the material if they do not tell us within ten business days that they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

Accounts and listings that are the subject of repeated valid notices are removed from the directory.

A word of caution

Misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for damages, including costs and legal fees, under section 512(f) of the DMCA. If you are unsure whether a use is infringing, take advice before sending a notice.

Other removal requests
